Westerns this year

Just three more days until the 2015 Western Canadian Ringette Championships begin. It will be a very full few days of ringette and some of the best ringette the west can offer.

There are 27 teams taking part in 75 games. Twelve of teams participating are in the U14AA division, while the rest of the divisions have five teams participating.

There are 13 referees from across the four western provinces along with four referee supervisors (and a referee supervisor from Nova Scotia, but I don’t think they know that).

To put on a tournament like this there are approximately 200 volunteers needed, so in advance before the tournament thank you to all the volunteers for helping put on a this tournament it really can’t be done without all of you.

I’m getting really excited for this tournament, and I hope everyone else is too! It’s going to be a weekend full of some of the best ringette in Western Canada.

I’ll be at Westerns pretty much for the whole time so stay tuned for updates throughout the tournament!
