This weekend has been quite a busy weekend. Yesterday I was in Lethbridge to coach and then was in Springbank for my own game. The games in Lethbridge were tough games the Renegades to play. The scores were quite a huge difference and were just hard to watch because the girls were feeling down because of how the games were going.
My game last night was a bit tough. We lost 8-4 and I ended up sitting out part of the game near the end because of a headache I had and it was getting worse. I also got hit a few times near my head so it just felt weird so I sat out most of the second period.
Also to get to the game ten minutes before it was starting since I was coming straight from Lethbridge. So all in all it was quite a crazy day yesterday, and I’m pretty sure I fell asleep as soon as my head hit my pillow last night.
Today the Renegades had a practice, which I went to since there weren’t many coaches going to be at the practice. I ran the first bit of the practice since there was a parent meeting the other coaches were at, which it actually went pretty good for running part of practice. I’ve never had to run a practice and I wasn’t too sure how it would go. I’ve run a drill or two at a practice in the past, but not anything like today and there really wasn’t much of a practice plan, so to be honest I ended up winging some of what I ran.
I’m not going to my game tonight because I still have a headache and don’t think it would be a good thing to go play a game.
