I believe that ringette is more of a team sport because of having to pass the ring across the blue line. In ringette no one can pull a Bobby Orr with going from one end to the other. It is also a team sport because of how many players are allowed in each zone.
In the two youngest levels players are only allowed to score three goals per game, which helps make it truly a team sport because they have to help their teammates score goals. When starting out with only being able to score three goals they move up through the levels knowing they have to help their teammates score makes it more of a team sport to me. At many older levels if one team is winning by a lot of goals coaches don’t let the girls shoot the ring unless they pass a certain amount of times or until the shot clock is down to ten seconds.
To me there are many aspects of ringette that make it more of a team game. Depending on the coaches they work on making sure their team plays as a team and doesn’t have anyone trying to play as an individual.
