Coaching and Playing Update

It’s about halfway through the first half of the season and it’s been flying by.

For playing we’ve won one game so far and have had some pretty good games, but just can’t seem to break the other teams’ triangles or figure out the goalies’ weaknesses’. At some games we haven’t had a lot of skaters, so those games have been a little bit of a struggle. Typically, we’ll have a game once a week but sometimes have more than one game a week. When there’s been a game or two in a week we end up having a week or so off from playing, which actually feels kind of strange with usually having at least a game a week.

As for coaching we’ve been off to a really great start. We’ve had some really great games and they’ve won three out of our four games. During the Lonnie Krahn Classic we won our two round robin games, so we went straight to the final. In the final game we ended up losing to Indus, but it was a really good game, but the team had a bit of trouble catching up to Indus’ lead fast enough.

So far it’s been a pretty good season full of lots of ringette. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s ahead for this season.
